I have noteced, that some people have the compulsion to say to others what "they should feel an think", i personnaly dodn´t agree in any way, with that! The only thing that is MINE is my heart, and my soul, so, I'm free to say what i feel and think: sometimes i call vit, a DESEASE (because, it realy is!) and sometimes i just speak about LIVE! This 2 sides belong to my life: the "ups" and "dows".

If i don't offend anybody, and nobdy offends me, why  shouldn´t i say: "today i'am mad with the world?".

To be happy and positive isn't a OBLIGATION: you just are, or aren´t, as simple as that. In the same way, sadness is not contagius. Thanks, for the attention, and stay true to your feellings!

  • I agree with Cawanda, we are individuals and with that comes so many different views feelings. You are entitled to feel the way you do on any given day. No one will take that away. I have down days I have up days but my peaks and valleys are as high and as low as I want them to be. Take Care

  • Its pretty difficult to understand how anyone feels. There have been many stories how hard it is to deal with vit. I think for the most part people offer advice to support, not to dictate a life rule. I have had vit a short time compared to others but I have lived with vit all of life because my family members who have had all their lives. It doesn't make me an expert on mental issues revolving around vit but rather to offer my shoulder for all the tears my younger nieces, nephews, cousins ,uncles and aunts have had over the years.

If you find your own way dealing with advice or support you'll always be one step ahead and understand your awareness is key to your positive way of thinking. In my own life I have been given a bigger challenge to help my family deal with vit. Sometimes a simple prayer can lead to the freedom we all hope for.

I think your on the right track Paula...stay true to your feelings and yourself.
    • Pat !! You have so many relatives with VIT? What can you possibly say to comfort them ??
      • I take my younger relatives with me to car shows for starters. They quickly realize I have no fear of being in public,it really gives them confidence to get out in public. Plus I always prep a different car every year.I believe that confidence is a key component to express yourself and show people you have a positive outlook on life.
As for my aunts and uncles, they inspire me but I support them when I see that they are depressed from vit.
  • I agree your response is your response. How you accept or not is how you accept. We are diverse and therefore we will have a diverse response! Your response is not wrong or right just UNIQUE to you!!!
