  • I have vit b12 injections but only 4 times a year as I'm deficient. Hasn't done anythin but maybe coz I'm not having enough!!! Gonna find out what dose I have :)
  • Hi Jenn,

Vitamin therapy is what you're thinking of doing - taking vitamins that are known to be helpful to address a health problem. I believe that vitamins are a good first line against vitiligo. They work from the inside out.

    You're welcome!!
  • i have not tried the b12 injections but i've been taking the pill form of B12 and folic acid. I started around feb. or march. I've seen a drastic change in my repigmentation, but i don't know if it's the vitamins, my steriod creme (that may have kicked in after a 1 yr and half finally) or if God remembered i had been praying for repigmentation for the past 11 years. : ) I hate recieving injections so i'd recommend the pill form, but that's just me being a chicken, haha! I got my vitamins at wal mart, my B12 is 2,500 mg and i got them flavored (HA! i'm such a fairy!!) and i don't remember what my folic acid is, sorry i have them at work since that's where i always remember to take them!!! please keep me updated if you decide to take either version of the vitamins! good luck!
    • Hi Jenn,

Taking extra doses can be helpful when doing vitamin therapy. It's ok to take additional B12 and Folic acid because they are both water soluble vitamins - any excess not absorbed is excreted.
  • Hey Nadika, I've been putting olive oil on my legs for years now pretty much everyday, and haven't seen any changes. I do it for moisturizing, so it works great in that area and you have super soft skin! But if you do try make sure to use Extra virgin olive oil, as it has the most helpful anti oxidants and vitamins.

Here's an article about oil oil and it's benefits.
