If your a caucasion person or a person who's fair skinned your vitiligo is probably not noticed as much as a darker skinned person or people of certain ethic groups like Africans, Hispanic, Asians, Indians,or even darker complected Italians because I have Italian friends who have vitiligo and they are dark and the vitiligo causes contrasting issues so the darker your skin is the worst the Vitiligo patches appear

Carl, I think there are two points here. Your point is that vitiligo is very noticable the darker your natural color is. The second point is that it does not make it any easier having vitiliigo regardless of your natural skin color. I 100% agree with both points.

I also agree with you. I'm fair, but I still suffer with the effects. Laying in the sun at the shore was a favorite past time, but now I really have to be careful... Miss getting a suntan... Are you coming to the luncheon on July 9th in Dover? It would really be nice to meet you and the other folks I've been in contact with...... Take care...
I would love to but to be honest with you I probably won't be able to make it, I'm also a heart patient (Heart Failure) Chris and I can't do a lot of traveling.I admit Delaware is only a hop skip and a jump away from me here in Philadelphia.Pa. it's only about 40 some miles away but it would be a strain on my heart to take that road trip but I'm there with you guys in spirit take care and God bless you

Remember that people's skin colour is not always constant. So while my facial vit is barely visible because I'm white, my skin below the waist is and always has been olive. Don't ask me how or why. The contrast is therefore much more prominent and much uglier than in the places not covered by clothing.
Thus not all pale/white people with vit have it so easy

My words were taken out of context I'm just saying that the contrasting issues are more prevalent in people of color and it makes our vitiligo instantly noticable because of the contrasting issues
