chick-fill- a cow..

My nana and I decided to eat lunch at chic-fill-a. so we get in line and the cashier was a teenager and he was looking at me weird i kinda blew it off. well we ordered and sat down and ate and when i went to go throw the trash he came around the corner like he was waiting for me or something and took the tray from me and asked what was on my chest. I held up my necklace and said it was a key and he said no " the stuff on your chest" and pointed to my white spots. i wasn't having a good day earlier and it stunned me for a second and stung me a bit. Blatant people like that are just rude, i just think he couldv'e asked in a better  manner and not have stared at me like a freak. Oh but the chick-fill-a cow was there and it said hi to us.

  • Hmm, if you're aware of the whole "pickup community"/ scene , then you'll know there's hundreds of thousands of men who follow the guiding of various "teachers", one of the popular methods of picking up women is to "neg" them, pick something about a girl to make fun of her/mock her etc before they chat you up. Looking at your picture you're quite pretty, given what you described, he was looking at you at the register then went out of his way to make an opportunity to talk to you by moving from the register to position himself just where he could talk to you, chances are the teenager was trying to pick you up because he found you attractive :)
  • I'm soooo sorry that happened to you! You are an adorable young lady if that's your picture on the profile! I am suprised because chick fil a is a Christian company and my experience is their employees are very professional...there is no excuse for his poor behavior. I guess we just need to educate people when this happens....at least you know Samantha you are not alone girl! And, we have to be thankful because it could always be worse! We are all here for you!!!!! ;)

  • u should of laughed at him and said "stop looking at my chest, perv." hahahahahah

and then say 'it's not whats there, but whats NOT there anymore"... and then smarten him up.  ;-)

most people dont mean to be hurtful in their inquiry. a lot of people werent taught tact. accept and understand that and your life will go easier ;-)

    have a great day. ;-)

  • hi samantha..i like the way u think u are so positive in any way..i been through also on that situation but i am the one will ask them that are u admiring my hand because it really shows my vitiligo in my hands then they will just smile and walked away..sometimes they will ask what happen to my hands..i think they are really ignorant about vitiligo i dont know how they will educate about this type of skin...
  • people are always gonna hate.you just have to be strong and always stay positive
  • aww :( people can be so rude and not realize how hurtful it is when we hear that. i don't have a lot of vitiligo right now but i've had incidents where people ask me what the white spots are around my armpit. it annoys me when people ask me so i try not to move my arms forward when i wear a sleeveless shirt so my vitiligo won't show..
but you sound like a strong and positive person :) so who cares what other people say !
    • haha yeah i do that too when i wear sleeveless shirts and thankyou(:
  • Sorry to hear that Samantha.  Sometimes we just need to educate the ignorant people out there in society.  I am glad you found something positive though!
