Caroteniod Complex supplements

My doctor asked me to try taking Caroteniod Complex supplements two months ago.  The doctor said some people have had good results with their vitiligo from taking these supplements. The supplements are derived from tomatoes, carrots, spinach, red bell peppers, strawberries, apricots and peaches.  According to the company that manufactures them, Caroteniods are claimed to provide strong anti-inflammatory benefits (inflammation is a characteristic of autoimmune disorders) in addition to acting as powerful antioxidants, which can strengthen the immune system.

After taking them for 2 or 3 times a day for almost two months, I am not seeing any major improvement. I am not sure I will continue taking them after I finish the the remaining tablets.    Has anyone heard of Caroteniod Complex supplements helping with vitiligo?

  • One word comes to mind when i hear antioxidant. Wanna know what that word is? Glutathione. Which is your body's own MASTER antioxidant. Way stronger than other antioxidants.. want to kbow ehats cool about glutathione? Our bodies produce it but its been said in a few places that it starts declining after 20 because the lifestyles we now livr. But, we can give our bodies the precursors or building blocks to be used to make it. I know of three people (all females) who have had huge succes by diet and taking nutritionalssupplements including supplements for glutathione building . We neeeeed to make sure our digestion is optimal! Without it being proper, we wont absorb nutrients and yet collect toxins and starve also suffocate at the cell level.. thats what ALL diseases are, suffocation, starvation, and toxification of the cell no matter what ones!. Digestion is 80% of our immune system so if thats messed up which always seems to be then the wrong stuff will get in the blood and trigger autoimmune response. Its really kinda easy to understand really! Which is exciting. You should listen to 'the bright side' its a radio show on health and nutrition at tge cell level its awesome. Its a super valuable source of information. Brightsideben.com is how i listen to it there is an archives page with all of the brodcasts. Remember, ALL disease is CELL disease. No matter what flavor, we can control our genes and deprivations.

So this is what i think we need to do.
-Optimize digestion with Apple cider vinegar after meals to help produce stomach acid, take digestive enzymes, eat probiotc rich foods/fermented foods. Bile salts. Also take a good multi strainprobiotic.
-Get enough vitamins/minerals via supplementing with quality and good form supplements.
-Take the supplements to help build your glutathione system. (Glycine, cysteine, and glutamine)
-A natural diet.. fruit will be kinda rare in this. All the nutrients are in the skins anyway but they are tastey. Lots of vegetables but careful with the high sugar ones like carrots and stuff. Think green but also careful cruciferous vegetables if you have a thyroid problem. (Which also essentially happens from poor digestion) i think iodine is what the thyroid likes. Mason or nayson im not sure hiw its spelled but its the best form..
-Also protein is very important to regeneration. But what is critically important is digestion of protein. (Among otger nutrients as well) if proteins arent broken all the way down into there amino acid forms via faulty digestion, then the protein chunks or peptides is there real name, will enter the blood stream which isnt supposed to happen and it will cause an autoimmune response!
    • Thanks, that is good information.  I am going to have to concentrate on diet and will check out that radio show.

    • Just want to add that egg and whey proteins are the best proteins, if you can tolerate them, make sure your digestion is good! Im gonna be careful with proteins tho they are very important
