Do let me know if the existing support group functionality here can be of help to you. I can also send out an email to the whole network if you want to build the different local communications through this site.

Thanks for your response Randy. I am trying to start a support group I the Bay Area (CA) bc I need one. Trouble is I really don't have a lot to give right now. I Assn just in need. I have done work like that in the past. Maybe once things calm down for me, I will be able to set things up properly.

I will also add on here that if any of you have particular expectations for the National Vitiligo Foundation, please communicate them. We will listen. Keep in mind that we can't meet expectations if we don't know what they are. We are very much looking for local volunteers (Cincinnati area) who would like to come to our office and assist with the many projects underway. If you have an interest in volunteering, please send a note to the Executive Director, Mary Cleveland (mcleveland@nvfi.org).

The National Vitiligo Foundation is undergoing a complete transformation under a new President. I have replaced Dr. Raymond Boissy as the President of the Foundation. One of the things the Foundation will be doing is creating support groups across the country. We will also be building an entirely new website with greatly improved functionality for the patient and less emphasis on the scientific aspects of vitiligo. If anyone has a passion for leading a support group in your part of the country, please contact me (rmarsh@nvfi.org) and the Executive Director (mcleveland@nvfi.org). We need passionate local leaders who are willing to interface with the Foundation to build the various groups. Note that this is not going to be an overnight exercise, so you'll need to be willing to work with us over the next six months or so.

Hi there,
I am curious why support groups and meet and greets have taken a back seat to vitiligo day. We really need your support in finding and/our creating local support groups. It seems so critical and I felt hopeless when I got redirected to vitiligofriends on your website. It really isn't enough. Please consider supporting people with vitiligo by providing local resources. I would gladly give up vitiligo day for a support group and a foundation that makes an effort to help me in the here and now.

I have so many questions about this skin problem but theirs one that i like answered. And that's why me! Living with my skin is not an easy life. I would like just one day of not crying. I hoping i found friends to help me with this!!!

Need all the help possible I can get!!!!

Hello Everyone. I am currently working on a research paper dealing with vitiligo for an English class assignment and I was wondering if anybody that has vitiligo is willing to help.
