I am a mom of 5 amazing children, my two oldest joined the Army and are happily married. The rest of us have been traveling the country for the past year and have made it to 28 sites so far. I got vitiligo when I was 8 and as most of you know, nobody knew what it was or what caused it. I heard all the things like from it might be cancer, itโs just a rash and will go away and my favorite was youโre allergic to the sun, well not much has changed in that department๐คช. I also tried so many treatments like all those smelly creams, pills, light therapy just to name a few. For the longest time I was able to cover my spots with makeup and it wasnโt until I started having children is when it got worse and after being pregnant six times there was no covering it up after that. I struggled silently with this for so many years, I hated to look in the mirror, wear certain clothes, but what hurt the most were the stares you know the ones Iโm talking about๐. It wasnโt until a couple of years ago I met a young ๐ฌ๐ฐ๐๐๐ญ ๐ ๐ข๐ซ๐ฅ stopped me with such excitement in her voice...โฃ โฃ ๐๐ฐ๐๐๐ญ ๐๐ข๐ซ๐ฅ: "Oh my goodness is that Vitiligo" โฃ (LOL) ๐๐: "YESSSS?!"โฃ ๐๐ฐ๐๐๐ญ ๐๐ข๐ซ๐ฅ: "Oh my goodness I think Vitiligo is so beautiful and I just love all the beautiful patterns it makes!"โฃ โฃ To this day I still wish I could thank her, she changed my life because It wasn't until that moment it ๐ฉ๐ช๐ต me! It really does make some pretty cool patterns, my favorite spot is the one on my foot that looks like a heart! โฃ โฃ My๐๐ช๐ต๐ช๐ญ๐ช๐จ๐ฐ does make me ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ช๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ฒ me and I will embrace every single one. Since then I have run into so may people with ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐จ. I love talking with them and let them know how beautiful I think their spots are. Most of them share how they ๐๐๐๐ it and wished they didnโt have it so I shared my story with them...โฃ
