Hi, I have had vitaligo since I was 5 years old. I was a competitve swimmer so there was no opportunity to cover up my spots, so I had to learn to deal with the fact that I looked different from a young age, which was hard. I continued to swim in college and have just recently started to own my spots.. maybe it's because I am not in a bathing suit every day. Unfortunately my vitaligo is starting to spread and I am wondering if this is from stress so I am joining this group to connect with others and see if there are some other remedies to try. I have done the light treatment for 2 years and it helped get a few freckles on my spots but seemed to cause more damage to my pocket book due to the high cost of the treatments.
