  I think we all find refuge in this website because it really makes us realize that we're not alone in this world. The majority of us don't have friends with vitiligo or relatives for that matter. I'm the only in my family with vitiligo and although they see me trying my best to get rid of it, they dont' understand the emotional effects this brings to a person. As the mother of a daughter with vitiligo, I totally understand you because my mom worries about me too. She got really sick the year I developed vitiligo and I pretty much stayed in the hospital with her for the whole month she was there. She blames herself and thinks the stress from that is what triggered my vitiligo. Just love your child and do the best you can to prevent her from being self concious. I hope she fully recovers! :)

  Hi Julie, I just read your comment on the other website from Vitiligo Cures Around the World. Keep your hopes up and I wish the best for your daughter. We need to all remain hopeful that we will defeat this skin disease.
