About Me:
I have had Vitiligo for about 15 years, it only bothers me in the summer, when its noticable... I used to like to be outside, at the beach with my companion dog Gator, or working and playing in my garden with Gator. i lost him very suddenly due to a sudden illness with complications on Dec. 18, 2014. I miss him everyday, we were always together. He was a red Australian Cattle Dog, alays happy and loved people... a rescue who traveled over 660 miles to be in his forevere home, where he was loved and mostly spoiled each day for the 7 1/2 years I had the honor to be with him.He left this world in my arms, I couldn't let him sufer - I love him too much for that. Tears as I am writing this, forgive any mistakes here. I always thought OI saved him... Gator really saved me. Without him, I am lost. And have lost everything after he was gone, which has devistated me completely. i no longer care bout vitiligo as muc as i used to, life is full of pain now. if only my so-called family and former friends knew what this is like, and how wrong they are for believeing the lies of others, they would know how much they hve all hurt me. I have no desire to fight back to correct everything wrong. I no longer live, i just exist each day, in physical and psychological pain with complicated grief. I never thought this would happen to me, but it has. that is all about me. i wish all of you well... John

Hello and welcome!!!! Glad you joined our group!!!! You will find many here, including myself, who can relate to you in terms of our love for our pets and the unconditional love we get from them !!!! Good to hear that vitiligo does not trouble you as much as it used to. Take care, and come by to talk if you like.
I am Saurabh from India. It was heart rendering to read about you and your beloved dog Gator in your profile. The happy times you spend with each other are invaluable. The flow of love towards a pet is more natural in comparison to the love we express for a fellow human being as it's not expressed by words nor its expressed to win approval or gain something in return. It's sad to hear that he is no more with you and that you miss him.
I hope that you will get over his loss soon. You also know that he was not going to stay with you forever. We all will have the same fate as Gator one day so we must try not to dwell too much on the past and be sad about it. I am sure he died in peace under your care and affection.
There is one world on the outside and there is one inside of you. Outside world is full of noise and chaos, attachment and expectations, struggle and rivalry, etc and this most often reflects on our inside world too. It gets shaken by any changes in our outside circumstances.
I hope that you recover from your loss soon and open your heart again for your near and dear ones.
Welcome to Vitiligo friends. :)
