About Me:

I'm a 50 yrs old Asian male, came to acquire the disease in a somewhat unusual way when I received burn injuries on my right hand. The burn was so deep that I was told at the hospital I would never regain pigmentation on those parts again. Small white patches began appearing on my left hand several months after the burn injury and when I visited a dermatologist to check it, he informed me that vitiligo can come about on one limb to imitate the other. This was true again when patches began appearing on my left foot few years later, followed by patches on my right foot. In the last few years, my condition have worsen with the patches now spreading alarmingly fast and to all areas of my body incl. face, armpits, waist, genitals, and head. I believe the acceleration in it spreading was initiated by stress at work and then snowballed when the new patches caused even more stress in me.
