Vitiligo sufferer since May 1999; DAV; 92A and 8404. Before I had back surgery done, I was running up to 20 miles per week and did some other Army physical training. My vitiligo then was contained very well. Often times, when a small patch comes out, Protopic would take care of the re-pigmentation. Now that I am not able to do much more than just walk, it has become nearly impossible to treat the discoloration. I have tried many treatments, including UV laser treatments, many kinds of topical ointments, but it hasn't been kind to me.
