YOU FEEL ME ON THIS ??

You determine who you are. You are only attractive as you think your are. The moment you believe that is the moment things will change for you.

You have vitiligo. Ok, you don’t want it, wish you didn’t have it, but you do! Accept it and do what you need to do to be comfortable with it!

Yes, people stare. Expect it! Yes, you do stand out and you are unique in your appearance. Everywhere you go, they stare. Ok, fine. It bothers you, I get that.

Who gets to decide your happiness and who you are “them” or YOU?

“Them” who stare have their own lives, expectations, goals, joy and pain and flaws of their own. They encounter you at a store, at work in a classroom or where ever it may be, they see you, they stare, some may even be rude and make comments. But after that encounter, they carry on with their life. Do you? Or do you let “them” trouble you to the point that you allow “them” to affect you and disturb you to the point that it alter your day, your mood, your life?

What they think of you, who cares! What do you do? You are there, you walk into a room, they see you, they stop, they stare, at you. EXPECT it, ACCEPT it. You ARE indeed different from what people normally see everyday. But DO carry on and don’t give them an ounce of your thoughts, your time. If they are kind and respectful enough to ask in a way that is not insulting or uncomfortable, its ok to explain Vitiligo. They may really be curious. But do not for a moment, let that consume you. You determine who you are not them. Remember that.

Confidence is key. When you enter a room and there are many around to stare, hold your head up and stick your chest out like “this place is mine”, have the I am the VIP of this place attitude! If they are going to stare anyway, why not show them the strong side of you? Pose yourself to show that stares don’t matter, because you are to tough and resilient of a person to let “them” shake your confidence and affect your happiness.
