Why isn't self tanner working on facial vitiligo?

So i bought a really great self tanner than has been doing really great with my body patches such as legs, hands, etc- but it didn't work on the patches on my face, I also bought one that's made specifically for the face but it does not work at all on the face patches. I've tried about 2 or 3 self tanners and none of them work on my face, I do clean my face really well and exfoliate before applying but to no avail. Can someone give any input on this? it's really making me depressed as i was hoping to be able to cover my face with the tanner since it's the part that's most affected with vitiligo but it's not working at all. If anyone has experience with this, can you recommend a self tanner that actually will work on the face patches?

    Hello! I use self tanner from Sephora. Its the Sephora brand in a spray. I absolutely LOVE, LOVE LOVE it!!!!!! Ive used different brands and fell in love with this one. Its so natural looking and super cheap compared to others. I think its 10.00. Im not sure because I buy it in bulk. Hope this helps :)

      Don`t worry Gaby..Vitligo is not supposed to be easy at first til you get the right product ..it is trial and error thing..Have you tested  St.Tropez many claim it to be good.

      Mostlly face is soft skin and oily .that is way it fades .

        Try dermablend..its not a self tanner its makeup..but its awesome..covers everything.

    I just use the same stuff I do on my body for my face. I've never tried the face ones, but I suspect they are less potent. It works for me, but I have noticed that it doesn't last for more than a day on my face. I guess it's a combination of the oil glands and maybe I touch my face a lot more than I realize, causing it to rub off..

    I am interested in a suggestion too. :) what does it look like when you use it on your face?
