what do you say to your child when she ask you about your vitilgo? Shes only 4 and very curious. this really sucks. I never prepared myself to tell my kid about this. hard enough to explain it to others. i just tell people its a skin condition called vitiligo. tell them to google it. owell I guess I need to sit down and have this talk with her n explain it the best I can. funny thing. I never really let it bother me until now.

yeah she told me last night mom does it sting so bad? mom if i get that will it sting me haha she wants to know everything u know. she pointed to my hands and said did it ever go away mom? and looked at my hand and put her lip out touched my face and said mom I will always love u n touched my chheeeek she cracks me up n then wanted to watch movies all night haha
Thank you. I explained it and she asked me alot of questions. But she understands now I even showed her pictures of Others Who Have Vitiligo. And She Understands lol She Thought I Was The Only one Who Had It.
I think you've got to explain it in a kid way because she's just a little girl. Anyway, that won't be a bother for her, because you're her mother and she accepts you just the way you are.
