WERE YOU BURNED IN A FIRE OR SOMETHING ?

Dear Vitiligo friends I can't tell you how many times I have heard this question from people who see me in the streets.I actually wish I had a dollar for everytime that question was aked me and I simply tell them no I wasn't burned.I have a skin disorder called vitiligo and then the second question I'm asked is " Hey Isn't that the same thing that Michael Jackson had ? and I say yes it is !!!! More people are familiar with Michael Jackson than they are with vitiligo because he's so closely associated with the disorder and yes he would of been the perfect spokesperson for our cause because there was nobody on this Earth as big as him when it came to being universally noticed and accepted across this whole world, and yes I wish he would of done more to help our cause because with his financial assistance we could of been one step closer to a cure because in our lifetimes their will never be a another famous person with vitiligo who could spread our message around the world and make us all feel universally accepted like he could and even if you want to dispute the fact that Michael had Vitiligo there's no disputing the fact that people will always associate us with him

    Hey Carl... Omg.. I thought i was the only one who got asked that question.. so I will be collecting dollars too.. lol. The first time It was this one guy who just came up to me and asked me... were u in a house fire...?!? I just stood there looking at him.. like... are u talking to me ..?!?! I was like.. huh..? Excuse me... then he pointed to my hand... it was then that I knew wat he was talking about... I tried explaining the whole " vitiligo" thing but he looked so confused and maybe even a little disappointed.. dat I wasent actually in a house fire... Lol :D oOo well.. I guess we can't please them all...

      Yes Sianna I know exactly what you are talking about and yes we can't please them all but we can try to educate them..........lol

    Carl, i think you're in the running for creating the most discussions. ;-) hahahaahah

    How can anyone dispute he had it. You can see it in all the pictures if u look. and his autopsy doctor reported on it in the autopsy report.
    Off stage, michael was a very shy introverted person. Before he had his kids, being onstage was his only escape. He needed people around him to make him feel more secure with his Vit. its a shame he couldnt of found this site before he left us.

      Marty at last count I had about 900+ Discussions on here I guess you can count the amount I had on here by clicking the link that says View Discussions I like talking about Vitiligo and sharing my views,opinions and experiences and you are so right I wish Michael Jackson could of found this site before he left us.
