I am looking for controlling the spread. It's almost covered the exposed areas. Currently in Mumbai and don't want to try allopathic other than UVB if effective.

Topical steroids like Clobetasol will help stop the spreading. Don't listen to all the naysayers about steroids, as long as you use them as directed, there is a low risk of side effects. That is what I used for first few months after my diagnosis, now I am using Tacrolimus as well as getting UVB treatments.
If you have Vitiligo on your face, try getting Excimer (XTRAC) Laser treatments. I had this done and within 5 months my face re-pigmented.
Hi Ketan, ofcourse spreading of vitiligo bothers much..still u should overcome this by diverting urself.. I'm having homeopathy medicines for more than 3 years n it prevents spreading. Though I tried so many kinda treatment homeopathy helps me a lot. U can opt this along with uv treatment...
Hi Ketan, from my previous experiences i can strongly say "your worry factor can be directly proportional to vitiligo spreading". As you are right person to judge your condition, if your vitiligo is rapidly spreading then for atleast few months consult allopathy doctor, the allopathy medicines can stop vitiligo from spreading. Meanwhile take some stress management measures and search for other convenient alternate treatments for vitiligo. All the very best and May god bless you :)
Vitiligo can be treated once it is stabilized i.e.if its not spreading. So if u have vitiligo that is no longer spreading, melanocyte surgery is remarkable. 80% success rate and no side effects. I am treated for vitiligo using melanocyte surgery. It took 2months to cover my spots. It is pretty much effective and covered most of the area like 95%.
Stable vitiligo: If any injury or wound is there,and your skin is healed into your normal skin tone. Then you can tell it os stabilized vitiligo.
Melanocyte surgery: They took a 3mm of myskin and extracted the melanocyte cells from my skin and placed these cells on my vitiligo affected area by doing surgery. It took 1 week fr the bandages to wore off. After 2 mnths and sessions of UV light therapy, vitiligo is gone. This is done by a cosmetic surgeon not usual dermatologist.
I would suggest you please find a cosmetic clinic for melanocyte surgery.
