Hello guys,
Just wondering how everyone feels about their Vitiligo? I've had mine for 14 years now and I've realised recently just how much I love it! I'll still randomly just stare at the patches I have and I find them fascinating, does anyone else relate to this? My vitiligo has spread again this week under my left eye so my mum got worried and suggested something she had seen that could help stop it from spreading but it made me realise just how much I'd hate for my patches to go away or to stop growing as I love them!
Let me know if you'd like how you feel about your vitiligo <3
I hope everyone has an amazing day!

I have had my vitiligo for 24 years now, since I was 19. Mine has changed quite dramatically. I went through all the stages of acceptance; denial, fear, self-loathing, depression, anger, depression, anger, depression, liking, accepting, and then loving. I finally became depigmented and started loving life only to be diagnosed with lupus and started regaining my pigment. That was dramatic after I accepted what I looked like and went through the stages all over again. 9 years ago I started liking myself and 5 years ago I started accepting myself and maybe 3 years ago I started loving myself again. It has been a process but I think going to this vitiligo conference here in the U.S, really transformed me further. I am happy to say I have vitiligo now and I have never been more content with the skin I am in.
I hope you have an amazing day and remember you are not only amazing but you are spotacular!

Hello Dre, thank you so much for responding to me! The amount of respect I have for you because of the journey you've gone through is unbelievable, I'm so happy you've managed to start loving yourself not only once but twice! I am glad that the vitiligo conference helped you so much, I hope I can find one nearby in the UK too as I've only met one other person with vitiligo and she ended up going through treatment to repigment her patches.
Thank you so much for such kind words, and I hope you have an amazing day too! Your comment has made me so happy :D

Yes I would never want to repigment or depigment. I am part of a special population to see life beyond inner and outer beauty.
Maybe one day you can come to the one in the U.S. Do you have facebook? Look me up. I got videos of us dancing and plenty of pictures with a lot of people who are now family and friends with vitiligo. Andre N Joachim Jr if you do have fb.
Hi! I'm so glad that you are loving your dual skin tone, it took me ages to love my skin. But do take care because it is an autoimmune disease :) Wishing you the best x

Hi! Thank you so much, I'm glad that you love your skin too! Don't worry, I take measures to make sure I don't harm my skin too, I usually stay out of the sun and always wear factor 50 sun cream so I don't burn it :)
Thank you so much again, and I wish you the best too! Xx
