  • I called up research guy who posted this .... Dr. Yamini ...and its black gram not chickpeas ...http://vitiligocover.com/chickpeas-for-vitiligo-straight-from-the-s... ...he informed on phone this does not work....

its the proteins amino acids maybe that might have helped.... if black gram/chickpeas helped in your case do let us know...thnks

  • well i thing that the faster solution for your lips good be peermanent tatoo in some beauty studio . dont you thing? good luck! VItiligo is fight and I hope that we WIN ... one time ...
  • hi! so chickpeas has a help... when did you start eating this? i mean for how long before you seee results.. we have the same questions I'm also worried with my lips.
  • Do we have to eat fresh chickpeas or can we use the canned ones?
    • Chickpeas is kind of a translation error! The positive results were from a native bean in India. Black urad or black gram as it is known is different from chickpeas
  • oh haha! how weird! you're biggest insecurity is actually the only thing i like about my vitiligo! vitiligo makes my lips a "natural" rosy pink! People are always complementing me on my lips or asking what color of lipstick i wear cause they want to buy it!... but sorry no, i have not had any repigmentation on my lips
  • its been about a week since i started eating chickpeas, but no signs of improvement yet. I bought goya chickpeas from shoprite, but i'm not sure if they are the right chickpeas to help stimulate pigmentation. I think studies in india were done with black chickpeas (urad) and applied to the skin.
  • Hi, have you had any luck with the chickpeas and are they hard to find? I read an article about chickpeas on how they might help in treating vitiligo.
  • that's funny, I started eating chickpeas recently too. I've also been putting black pepper on the chick peas because i read that black pepper and chick peas help to stimulate new melanin. I'm not sure if eating these will help, but i'm hopeful, and i hope that your color will return.
