Hi,
I'm 31, male. Until 2 years ago I was an average guy - well educated with a good job and a normal social life. Then I developed vitiligo in the most unfortunate of places. Subsequently my then gf gradually cooled our relationship down until we broke up - she made a string of excuses but it was the now ugly nature of my groin region which was the real cause.
Thereafter I have been reluctant to date. The potential reaction of future partners has crippled me with insecurity. I am an average looking guy and the singleness is annoying and deeply frustrating.
I am thinking of tattooing my white patches as treatments are not working. It has sent me into a deep depression. I am familiar with the risk of V spreading if tattooed but I am at the wits end here.

Thanks for the wise words. :)
Hello
I just saw your post and it struck a chord with me as I have been through a similar situation to you recently. I too had vitiligo appear on my genital area a few months ago and it has now almost fully repigmented.
I changed my diet to paleo and have been supplementing for the last 4.5 months. I have been using a dermalight very briefly on the spot every two or three days for 45 seconds for about month or so consistently (I was nervous at first in case of burning myself down there!). One spot has completely healed and the other is half the size.
I just wanted to let you know that it may be possible to repigment it as I was certain from what I'd read that I wouldn't be able to repigment in an area 'like that' but it has. I have also had 'relations' with a couple of people since having the spot. One noticed it and wasn't at all bothered when I explained what it is. In my opinion, if your girlfriend really was willing to finish with you over a patchy penis, then she probably wasn't worth it anyway.
I certainly think tattooing is not a good idea for now. It sounds like you've been through a lot recently so you would have been highly stressed which won't help your healing.
Sorry if you've already read them, but I find reading these blogs helped me greatly in understanding how to manage vitiligo.

All the best.
Pretty good advice Shane.

I bought a dermalight for about £200 from Amazon. I think it works well but use it moderately as it can make vitiligo worse if it's still active and you overdo it. I'd start by reading up on diet changes and vitiligo. Those blogs are great for that.
Those items are showing positive results for you?
I will definitely pick up a UVB lamp and will try to edit my diet. I eat pretty healthily. I am in ok shape.
Hi,
Thanks for the insight.
What supplements are you using?
I have yet to try UVB and would have to buy a handheld unit. Is it effective?
My concern is that I will never have 'relations' again. What sucks worse is that objectively I was more handsome than she was pretty.
