Hello! I'm from Kazakhstan.

I've just begun treatment with a home made pseudocatalase cream and low dose UVB exposures.

I prepared the cream by myself using the Neribas cream as a base. I ordered two 100ml tubes from a Germany pharmacy shop. With shipping charges it cost me about 50 €. A precision milligram scales for $14.85 from AliExpress. The other ingredients (manganese chloride, calcium chloride, distilled water) I found at a local chemical store and the price was surprisingly low (total less than $2).

For the near 3 months I will follow the next treatment protocol:

  • Applying the cream only once a day for the first 10-15 days. In 15-20 minutes after the application follows low-dose of UVB exposure with a UVB handheld lamp (I've started from 10 seconds per area that is under the exposure).
  • After the first 10-15 days I will apply cream twice a day with following UVB exposures (they also follow after 15-20 minutes' while).
  • In order to check if the homemade pseudocatalase cream really works I will make applications on the most pigmented spot at the bottom left side of my belly only with pure Neribas cream.
  • Possible addition a dietary supplement to my diet and a topical vitamin and mineral cream on  the affected skin.

Though I wouldn't like to share my intimate photos I'm attaching some photos of my vitiligo spots. The reason is that if my treatment will be a success I'd like the other people to be inspired with my own experience. Some of my spots already have peri-follicular pigmentation (though I've never tried any treatment before and the patches never was being under the sun exposure). My biggest spot is shown only partially (it's about 17.8 - 24 square inches). I haven't got spots on my penis, though there's a spot on the back of my scrotum.

It was surprisingly to discover how hard it is to notice spots when they are on photos. They are much more noticeable when you see them with your eyes. I did some Photoshop to make them to be more noticeable.

Because I can't take the sun on my vitiligo spots in a convenient way I'm thinking about buying special tanning lamp with the wide range UV.

I've already done five procedures.

You're welcome to post your comments but now is the summer which have finally come after a long winter and I will probably visit the forum rarely and only to left some information as my treatment goes on.

  • Hello, friends!

About 3 and a half months are past away since I began the treatment and there are some significant improvements.

Some of my spots have completely repegmented  (particularly those that aged about 3-5 year). Though one of them is definitely older (above 8 years). Other spots have got a lot of noticeable peri-follicular pigmented dots.

What can I say about areas with "full repegmentation"? My skin in those areas just changed its color from white to pale brownish. But it's still noticeable paler than my healthy skin in the affected areas.

I still use only the cream and the UVB handheld lamp. I'm certain about the lamp and I can't say if my homemade pseudocatalase cream adds any advantages to the treatment yet.

P.S. What kind of a lazy person I am! I can't persuade myself to make some photos of my progress yet. I hope till the end of September I'll post some.

    • It's good to hear it from you.

      Congrats!

Send current pictures if you can.

      Question:

      What areas did you re-pigment?

      Hairy?  Non-hairy?  Both?

  • First month of the treatment is nearly completed. But because treatment with the pseudocatalase cream and UVB exposures is a long term one, there are still very little to say.

I apply the cream twice a day on the affected areas and after 20-30 minutes I use my UVB lamp. Sometimes I only do it once a day (in the morning). My current timing is about 11-13 seconds per a single patch.

Patches have still got the initial size. But I think there are little improvements in the form of hardly noticeably dots of peri-follicular pegmentation on those patches where I didn't notice any before.

I did not make any additions to the treatment protocol still.

The authors of the cream claim that first signs of repegmentation will be noticed only in a 2-3 months while. So in that terms a treatment for one month isn't enought to see any differences.

Because they are also claims that treatment of the segmental vitiligo is not effective with the pseudocatalase (because of its different etiology) I'm a bit confused about what type of vitiligo I've got. I hope it is not segmental one because my patches growed in size since they appeared and there was some symmetry in the way they appeared and spread.

    • Great.  Keep us posted.

  • Can you give us the email address of the German Pharmacy where you purchased from?
  • Good Luck and keep us posted.

You should not buy an wide range UV lamp.  It's not recommended.

The only one that works safely is UVB-NB one (308-311 Nm).

    Regards.

    • I bought my lamp back in March. It has 311nm Philips lamp.

Thank you for your good wishes!
