Vitiligo is so mysterious there's so many other disorders or diseases that can cause it everything from Lupus to genetic disorders, I once saw a woman stare at me with a puzzled look on her face she asked me does it hurt and I said well maybe not from a physical standpoint but from a emotonal one. Gone are the days when I used to constantly ask God why me ??? I guess I still have a lot to be thankful for despite my Vitiligo and I thank all my friends here on the Vitiligo Friends Website for sharing all your stories with me and all the others here because maybe what you experienced with Vitiligo will make me and others feel stronger about it just like what we experienced could help others cope with Vitiligo !!!!!!!

Carl: I like your message... It helps to know there are other people out there who feel the same. I'm 57 and it never really bothered me much until the last couple of years when it started to spread... I try to hide it, but it gets harder all the time. Lucky for me, I guess, that I'm fair skinned, but it really puts a damper on my life when summer rolls around. Thanks for helping... C.
Chris you are so right about that. I dread the summer because of my vitiligo I know it's a time for vacations, fun, bar-b-ques, the beach, etc. but for us people with vitiligo summer can be an awful time of the season. I love the sun myself, but because of my Vitilgo I can no longer enjoy it. Maybe if they invent a sunblock with a SPF of 1000 maybe I could enjoy it more but until then I will continue going to the beach at night
