I think vitiligo is the worst for me during the summer time when all my friends are at the beach and swimming and at pools. It drives me crazy that I am so self conscious that I end up avoiding these events until night time. By this time most of the fun is over. I have tried many things to cover and conceal during the times of sweating and swimming. Can we share tips that you guys use during the summer that help to conceal your vitiligo during the summer time....

just show it!!!!!!!!!! i fell like you when i go to school and out to physical exercise ............. but now it last for ones.and now i am a model now all my country peoples know that i have vitiligo and i am not ashamed of it.
Thanks all for the tips... I think the only part of my vitiligo that bothers me is my hands for some reason. I thought about spray tans but I always feared I would come out looking like one of those Jersey shore people lol... Im thinking of getting micro pigmentation tattooing on my hands just to make them one solid color and then just saying screw it and let the rest show.....
No, it doesn't turn me orange. They have formulated the solution so it doesn't come off orange like it used to. I am light skinned and I do the medium and sometimes I add a hyper tan (supposed to keep color on longer and keep you more moisturized). For me wedding, I also added a triple boost which is basically more color. I have vit significantly under my arms and a few spots on my hands, feet, knees, and elbows. I really like the way it covers it up...it isn't a miracle but it definitely helps!
I know what you mean! Try Mystic Tan. I get an unlimited membership for the summer and I go weekly. I am not sure where you live but I do mine at Palm Beach Tan.
Does the color come off on your clothes? I'm looking into different ways of camouflaging my Vitiligo for my wedding day and I'd hate to ruin my dress with self tanner.
Summertime is really hard for me, too. I haven't found any kind makeup that works well with water or sweat. Even waterproof makeup looks weird when wet, like it's lighter until it dries or something. That said, here's what I do to sort of minimize the contrast. I use Neutrogen Micromist spray (I have a fair/medium complexion). First I spray some into the cap and use a q-tip to "paint" my white spots, bring careful not to get into the pigmented skin. I let that dry for a few minutes then spray over the entire area - both pigmented and vit spots alike. And later that day and over the next few days I touch up the spots and do an overall spray. I think the color is much less orange than other tanners and for me the spray lasts and wears longer than lotions. The lotions seem to scratch or flake off for me after a few days (even with daily reapplication) but the spray is more of a fade. Anyway, sorry for the long post! Hopefully you'll get something useful out of it.
Take care,
Brandy
