the first part about the T cells attacking to prevent melanoma was very interesting. atleast doctors are starting to be able to better pin point this disease. I feel there is hope and expect huge advancements in the next couple years
It's good to know that researches are going on.
However, I spoke with this guy (Dr. Harris). He seems to be in the wrong path. The Italian Doctor, called Matteo Bordignon, found out 2 years ago a protein that does it. It's name is MIA (melanoma inhibitory activity). Last year I spoke with Dr. Harris about this theory and the Italian Doctor, but he just didn't care...I gave him all Dr. Matteo's contacts (http://www.researchforvitiligo.com/).
Unfortunately they don't like to work together, what delays the cure process a lot. They don't really want to accelerate anything. Most of them are looking for Fame and Reputation (some for money, of course).

Most of Doctors insist to say that T-Cells kill melanocytes, just because they find T-Cell indicators in the lesion regions. I don't blame them, since they learned this at school. When they start researching, they have the wrong drive yet.
The thing is that T-Cells are really there (in the lesions) killing something else that detaches melanocytes. T-cells are losing the job. "This thing" that is winning the job is the MIA protein (www.vitiligomap.com or www.researchforvitiligo.com).
Immune system protects our body and we have to boost it to achieve any cure.
