Has anyone else had any white spots turn back to their original color? I am brown skinned and had one small spot on my nose turn back to the original color after a year or so of being white. I still have many white spots on my face, upper chest, middle of my back and my left leg. I started out with only a couple white spots on my back but it spread rapidly over alot of my body in a couple of years. The reason why i ask about the repigmentation cause every article i read online says their is no cure yet the fact that some color on my face came back gives me hope that so i can more, id like to know your thoughts and experiences with any color returning.

I am actually starting to notice kind of what Myria mentioned, I notice at my hair folicals wear i shave recently (like the last couple weeks) i am seeing some little tiny brown dots, kind of freckling in. I dont know if its the protic or just a random thing. I am going to try and get more sun, I have gotten so used to wearing makeup thats the hard part. I am so comfortably with hiding the vitiligo it freaks me out to not wear it outside. That post i actually made with no makeup was kind of cathardic thing because no one ever sees that. It feels good to have people around to know what its like.
I don't do any treatments, but have had some spots fill in over time. It's not that they have reverted back to normal it's that I have gained pigment through my hair follicles and the spots have sort of freckled in. I love to be outside, so the only thing I can guess is that this occurred from continual sun exposure, as it's only my arms that have gotten this fill in of spots. I am still careful with my skin out in the sun and sun screen everything when i'm outside, but even with that I still tan.
I have two sons ages 14 & 15 with Vitiligo. Diagnosed in the summer 2007 when they were 12 & 13.
The first six months they treated with UVB Light 3x a week and Protopic 2x a day.
Currently only the Protopic is used. Spots in the face successfully repigmented. However the joints have been more difficult (knees, ankles). Then the spots returned to his face and again with Protopic treatment it repigmented. It will have to treat indefinetly.
my 23 yr old son has vit on face and it has 98%repigmented.now is left with two dots near his nostril. people say this does not mean it is cured. so will have to continue his diet, vitamins and treatment.
Hi meera, thanks for the response, what does his treatment consist of? Thanks in advance
