Red Cross camouflage service

To all the Brits on line - don't forget to use the Red X camouflage service if you are struggling with your Vit.
You can be referred by your GP. The consulataion usually lasts an hour and they will try to find a product / cream that matches your skin. They then make out an order which your GP converts in to a prescription.
In addition, they can follow up throughout the Summer months if your skin changes colour.
I have used them on several occasions. It's a free service but I always make a donation for their time etc.

Best wishes to you all

Here comes Summer.....................

Mike

  • Thanks Mike

Yeah, my GP said the same thing.... Is it any good tho?
    • In my view - yes; they are well trained and extremely dedicated. I'll give you an example; last year they couldn't quite match my skin colour (on my forehead so they wrote to me, this week, and asked if I could attend a specialists' workshop where they can offer a 'combined' view on covering my Vitiligo.
That's pretty impressive for a voluntary organisation.
They don't just deal with Vit either, they deal with a whole range of skin conditions, including scars etc.

      • Wow, that sounds great. I've heard many times that they are doing a great job ... so I too would think about making a donation.
        Thanks again
        • No probs - have a GR8 Easter
