hello Rahul, I wouldn't have started this post if I have never came across those bad days in my life
In my present workplace, I do not find any discrimination. All of my colleagues are very caring and they all had sympathy for me. However, it is very difficult for me to find a new workplace in this time. I have faced two times in interview so, I do not have the courage to find it anymore perhaps I wouldn't be looking for any new Office.
Hi anandi
Its shocking that they commented about your vitiligo in interview discussion...
But be positive not everyone is so mean! That was exceptional case!
Just don't lose hope! Start Searching for other jobs opportunities...
go with the confidence and skills - there is no restriction on place where you can't work (India /abroad) ...lot many are there in IT / MBA (Sales) field even ... also if you feel bit low , wear some makeup/camouflage to workplace initially.
India has good rate of vitilians and many ppl are aware about it today ....so i don't think if your skilled resource they will miss opportunity to hire you...at times it may be partial , but not everywhere ...you may tell briefly during your interview if asked about it , don't just shift focus to vit only...
yes almost every vitilian face this - obviously its visible all this time - ppl see at a glance ....its feels bad agree to see this in reality ( we do also come accross this -not all are mean or bad ).
don't loose hope .... wear makeup to workplace [ try Dermacolor by kryolon good for indian skin tone shades or polly's stuff ] (being girl it is easy and acceptable to wear makeup , think abt men with vitiligo ) .
it is skills that will take u long way(anyday) ... keep up the confidence... networking & sometimes referals help too ....

I have seen many persons with vitiligo working in call centers and BPOs in Mumbai. I suggest you try there with WIPRO, ICICI, etc.
You cant get the type of place you are looking for unless you work from home.
