Not quite sure if it is vitiligo on my face...

Hello all, i am having the white spots since i was in middle school. It is not spreading like other people, but got only one new small white spot on my body during those years. I ate everything these years. But didnt eat any VC fruits as doctor told me in the first three years. Recently im thinking if its not the vitiligo? i am attaching a picture of the white sports on my face, if you know vitiligo well, please feel free to leave your comments.

Thanks!

  • Hi Dear, I have it also like u a little bit. Some doctors said it was vitiligo and others dont, anyways I have on my forehead a bit, on my left eye, under my eye a bit, also white eyelashes and one tiny on the cheek. Actually I am not doing anything because I am pregnant and my baby goes first, but I also covered up a bit and then is okay. Sometimes I dont understand what causes this and I have asked myself so many questions, but now i just leave it in Gods hands and trust that everything will be okay.

Do you take the sun and see pigmentation on those areas or not?

    • oh, really, same case. I am also leaving it and just put cover up every morning. I stood in the sun and use psoralidin at the begining, but my skin was broken, like burned, took long time recover. And then I took Compound licorice zinc and B6 for almost 2 years, some white spot fade away and got new though. After I stopped medicine and use cover up, only two small new on my body till now, almost 10 years with no treatment.

The only thing I'm worrying is when I get married, is there any risk that the baby has same problem? Do you have any advice about that?

Thank you so much for replying.

      Best,

      Aimee

      • Yeah same case hehe, well I understand your fears about children, but I trust God my children will be blessed and that they will be okay:)

Like Alexander says we cant control everything so it is better leave it in God's hands and keep living because who knows maybe you children dont get it and you lose the opportunity of having the best miracle of life. So dont be afraid and keep your faith high.

        Greetings

      • No one in my family has vitiligo, so it's not as common in families as you might think. But is there a chance you could pass it along to your kids? Yes of course. But I don't believe you decide having a kid or not based on risk and fears; it's based on love. Let that guide you.

        • I love kids and I will have at least two, but I don't want my kids going through what I am.

  • its barely even noticeable... i dont think its vitiligo and even if it is u say its on your face its segmental and stable. i try some protopic or just use coverup.. consider u really lucky

    • its the light problem on picture. One on the corner of left eye, one above lips, and one on the cheek. Several hairs near lips and one eyelash also get white. I also use coverup, but its not satisfying in summer and sometimes I forgot to use that in the morning and have to go back half way

      • hmm i see have u used protopic it works well on the face and also uvb puva?

        • no, I stopped using medicine or seeing doctor ever since I use coverup. But I will search protopic later maybe have a try. Thanks!
