I saw a different dermatologist couple of weeks ago and she prescribed me Protopic 0.1% a( to apply Monday – Friday once on bed time; and Clobetasol (to apply Saturday and Sunday twice in the day time). I had been using Lidex (generic name: Fluocinonide - Ointment - USP, 0.05%) for a while and now doctor changed creams coz Lidex thins the skin. I want to hear from others who have been prescribed the same creams.
Also, I want to know why Protpic is prescribed to use only on bed time? Is sun bad for our skin with protopic on? When do you apply protpic on?? Minutes before turning off lights and going to bed OR u apply it a couple of hours before going to bed. I have been applying it at 10 pm but I really turn off my lights and go to bed at 2AM.
