Ive had vit for 12 yrs now. never been to a dermatologist. I recently started to get more spots. I haven't had any emotially or physical trauma. the only thing that I started to differently is I started eating healthy and started to
run 2 miles everyday. I don't know if that would make more spots to appear.

somethings affecting your immune system... when's your next physical? have them run a complete blood and urine workup. check all your levels. your body's trying to tell u something. good luck. u dont always have to wait to feel like crap to get a check up.
good luck

I have heard this experience from other ppl too ….when they start to live healthy vitiligo spreads May be what we call healthy is not good for vitligo.
Here is my suspection healthy for other but may not be good for us.
-Don`t take immune booster supplements, coz we have enough
-Don`t take vitamin C supplements..som say it is not good some have scientific data that we need it.
Can you tell us if you add new type of foods or fruits in your diet, may be we can help you if you are taking some thing wrong …..there is no any scientific proof about avoiding food but there are some type of foods reported to have natural depigmenting agent, may be it worth to avoid and try.
that could be because of the change to your system. if you eat bad. your body gets used to that... then if you start eating healthy, not slowly, just BAM.... your bodies given a shock and then it has to adapt. the shock is kind of a stress on your system and you immune system is going to react. i wonder what the long term result is, does it slow down and go back to normal or what.

thats exactly what i was thinking, carl. you would think that eating healthy would be really good for your body, but the sudden change in diet can stress out your body more.
andy, i suggest that you eat how you used to and gradually introduce your body to the healthy diet that you want to stay at. :]
well how recently did you make this healthy change in your life? maybe your body is just stressed and not used to this new change? i'm not sure though so don't hold me to it. just a guess
