Hi there! I´m new to this site, so a little bit of information about me.

My vitiligo was diagnosed in year 2000, when I was 16 years old. It started from two small white spots. One was on my right elbow and one was on my right thigh. As it was autumn, at first I thought that probably my sun-tan is somehow getting off. But it felt strange and I showed spots to my mother. She said that it´s best if I see a doctor. So doctors diagnose was less than 5 min - vitiligo, no cure available, hide with cosmetic creams.

At present my vitiligo is widely spread all over my body and face. Over the years I have seen 6 different doctors-specialists and they all have said the same - there is nothing to do. In August I will visit one more doctor who has made many research about vitiligo, so hopefully I can get some new information.

What I feel most of the time is that I would give anything to get my skin normal again. I know there are much worse illnesses than vitiligo, but still for me it is as worse as it can be. My skin is naturally fair and during winter period at first sight I look ordinary but in summer it really feels frustrating. And inside I feel both in winter and summer that I´m insecure and worried about my appearance.

I was surprised to found this site and I´m glad that I finally joined this community, so not to feel alone with vitiligo.
