Hi friends,
I have finally have the money and go ahead from my insurance company for Xtrac treatment. My dermatologist initially said he was going to treat all my spots but now that we've started, he has said he doesn't want to treat a spot on a certain area of my body (I don't think I have to tell you which that is). And it's not because I've had a bad reaction in the other parts of my body. That I would understand! I think it's because the staff is bashful. They're not living up to the "professional" part of medical professionals. This is not easy for me to discuss but I was wondering if anyone has come across any similar resistance. Xtrac, my insurance company and other patients have said private areas are safe to treat. Does anyone have any literature I could share with my dermatologist to convince them to treat me completely?
Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alexander, were you able to find another doctor that would treat that area? I currently began the treatment.
Alexander, allow me to share with you my experience so far with the Xtrac laser. I have vitiligo on my groin all the way down to my right ankle. When I initially when in to the Dermatology office I was seen by the Physician assistant, and must say I didnt show them my groin area as I was very uncomfortable. I guess it was kind of my luck to get a good looking Physician assistant with a nurse and a nurse in training to all be in the same room with me. LOL I ended up just showing them my ankle part. It took about a week or two for my insurance to get back to them to give them the o.k. for treatments. I went in and I actually dont remember if it was the first or second time going but I initially got the courage to tell the nurse who was administering the treatment that I also had it on my groin. Since then (Feb.2013) I've been going twice a week with no problems.
If I where you I'd seek another doctor if he/she is not willing to treat you in that area.
Hi Alexander! I also have United Health care. Did they approve all coverage or just a fraction? What treatment do they approve? Regards..
Excuse me, where are you from? Where can I Xtrac?
Xtract laser treatment kan be painful some times our private area very thin skin and can be sensetive ..try it first if it help you other body and you can do it later ..Listen to ur derm.
