Good luck with it. I also found that applying vasiline jelly (that's what the dermatologist recommened) right after showering (but not before treatment) before drying off helped really moisturize the skin. I did notice that my skin was a little dryer when undergoing treatments. biggest thing it should not leave you uncomfortable.

I and my son have vitiligo. It has been dormant for a while since we went gluten free. But lately we both have some new spots coming up.
The connection I could see is between dry skin and new spots. I wanted to ask if u have noticed the same.
Right now I have started the UVB again to close those spots.

I've been starting to wonder the same. I have eczema as well, and these winter months are pretty harsh. I've done the UVB twice now, the first time was primarly through the summer months, but I moisterized ALL the time. The second time, it was in the winter and I probably should have been moisterizing more. I did have a lot more sucess with the the treatments the first time than the second, in fact we stopped the second lot because of very little improvemet. Now thinking about it I do wonder if there is a connection. But my hands are the first spot that I noticed my vitiligo, and that is where I primarly get my eczema. hmmmm I thought to ponder.
I never took a picture, but the nurses that ran the clinic told me that a general rule is that the pinkness should be gone within 24 hours. If it lasts longer or uncomfortable then we would not increase the time in the lamps.
