Microdermabrasion and vitiligo

Greetings all,
I'm considering having a microdermabrasion treatment on my face. Of course I don't want to do it if it would make my vitiligo spread. Does anyone have any experience/information on this (ie, does microdermabrasion aggravate vitiligo)? If so I'd be grateful for it...
cheers,
Andrea

  • No, it won't make it spread.

My sister is an esthetician so I've tried a lot of different products, lines and treatments. If the surface of your skin isn't that bad, you might consider an at home microdermabrasion kit.

My skin is very sensitive and I use Philosophy's the microdelivery kit once a month.

I do it before going to bed as It leaves my skin very pink for minutes afterward. I finish it up with an evening moisturizer and then go to bed. I strongly recommend applying sunblock on your face the next morning and days after to protect your skin.
