I understand that Michael Jackson donated money mostly to children and animal organizations and I think that was a beautiful thing, but I honestly think his donations to these childrens organizations should of been matched by vitiligo organizations also and when I found out he donated millions to the Jane Goodall foundation my heart sank because Jane Goodall is the woman who worked with primates (Monkey's and Chimps like his pet Bubbles now Michael seemed more interesting in donating his wealth to everything else but Vitiligo causes and here's a listing of the organizations that he donated money too and I don't see nothing about Vitiligo on the list below and maybe because there's not enough children that have Vitiligo for it too be of interest to him ?

  • Good point, but I don't even think he had it. PLEASE! He could have paid any doctor to say he did. And SO WHAT if there were times the camera say fading in his skin... CREAM! HELLO! Im sure if I didn't have vitiligo and I used that cream just like his sister Latoya, I'll start to have my pigment fade in areas too. The man never donated to any vitiligo cause and he was black as hell, so show me a pictures with him and an ivory spot. Don't show me a fairly light skin Mike with a fading spot. Show me Black Mike with a White Spot...

    Okay..I got to breath...lol.

    Smooches, good ppl
    • Amen my sister I feel you on that, go catch your breathe and then continue on, because right now I'm your number one fan and I wanna hear more because you never disappoint me......lol

      '/:
      • ROLMAO... Carl shut up...hahahaha....you so crazy!

But thank you honey, YOUR THE BEST!
  • I can't stand having his name associated with Vitiligo, but it catches people's attention better then say "Joe Blow has Vitiligo"..lol
    • I understand and resp[ect your thoughts Ciney B. The question here is what kind of attention a positive one or a negative one. We struggle enough as it is you know. Every one here goes through their own daily hell with vitiligo. Some days are good and others are not. If he developed vitiligo as everyone else ok fine he would be a great person to use to spread awareness. But if what you and I feel and Im sure a couple more of people may feel if he bleached his skin for whatever reason and then say he has vitiligo so he won't get looked down on thats not right. Will we ever know for sure if he really had vitiligo or not? I dont know but all we have is all the awareness education he did when he was alive. Look at all the Vitiligo ads he did and look at all TV programs he did for vitiligo and how he helped kids with vitiligo. Just look at all the hard work he did for vitiligo when he was alive. . If some one say where I seen this at or where are the links to his works thats my point exactly
Remember actions speak louder than words
    • I don't want vitiligo to be called the Michael Jackson disease but people are going to do it any way because there will probably never be another entertainer like Michael Jackson in our lifetimes because of the simple fact that people like him only come once in a lifetime and by vitiligo being so rare what are the chances ????

  • I have been saying this day one since his death. The main question here do we as a whole want his name associated with vitiligo. Does it really matter if he had it or not/ Did he support it or not. Does that really matter? I'm the last person to stand in the way of progress. The main objective is Vitiligo Awareness . Right? Does it matter
whose name is associated with it? Not trying to sound mean but its something to think about.
    • Regardless if we want people to associate vitiligo with Michael Jackson or not people are still going to do it Lucy

      • You are right Carl. People will do what they want. You know the saying actions speak louder than words. But the one question remains does it matter if he really had it or not just as long we have a popular name associated with it?
  • EXACTLY! And if someone aruge this.. Then prove that he did support Vitiligo?
