Make up

I read that there is a make up that covers this Vitiligo up so that others can not see it.  I have it under both side of my chin.  Does any one know what the name of these make ups  are and where I can buy it?

  • hey there, I wanted to post that MAC liquid foundation works wonders (it covers it very nicely so nothing is "stark" white).  I have it on my cheekbones and under both eyes, worse on the left side, but MAC is a wonderful, heavily pigmented foundation and doesn't look pasty or chalky.  And it lasts a LONG time, so no worries about it wearing off during the day.  On really bad days, lol, I use the MAC AND a pat or two or three of Dermablend as the concealer on the left side.  Today is one of those days, lol!  Oh well..always when I have to go to work it seems.  Hope this helps and try it!  It's sold at Macy's (MAC) and I think Dermablend has a website on their products.  It's not cheap, but the peace of mind is worth it!!  I actually got a makeover six months ago to help with how to apply the MAC and it was worth every cent to me!

    • Thank you Tina. I will make a trip to Macy's next week.

      • you are so welcome, happy to help!  One of the great members on here turned me toward MAC early on, and I cannot thank her enough for that!  I haven't found ANYTHING that covers better than MAC!!

Also, this foundation is "buildable" meaning you can apply more on spots where you need more coverage and yet it won't look "caked on" or too heavy, but will cover quite well.  I use the MAC Pro Longwear SPF 10 liquid foundation over my regular SPF 50 sunblock (blocks UVA and UVB rays) and put a powder over that lightly...this stuff is just awesome!!

You can try the MAC and if you find it doesn't work for you, you can bring it back for a refund with your original receipt.  Same for Dermablend..

        • Tina I went to Macys this afternoon;. They did not carry the reglure Macys makeup. But I did buy some of the Lincome foundation. We picked out a few different one. But the Lincome was the only one that covered the white spots under my chin. I have tried the Dermablend before and it just caked on my skin. I am older so I guess that is why. But I can not thank you enough for your advise. And please tell the person thay gave you the advise first how much her advise has been for me too. Thanks again. Juju

          • I will Judy!!!  Glad to hear you had success with the Lancome!!!  :)  Enjoy!!!

        • That's what I use too!
