Normally lip is not easy to repig and treat some get good result as Raj says...my advise is wait until it gets stable and when you feel that it is not increasing in size..use permanent make up (medicated tatoo)
Protopic is not known to work in the mucosal area because, there are NO hair folecules in that area. Hair folecules act as "conduits" to bring the pigment from the surface below skin. So, based on our DERM's theory, application of any medicine to areas where no hair exists, does NOT help. Plus, application of topical medicine on lips has the danger for contact with tongue. IF no contact with tongue, probably okay. Meaning, on the lips outside (not inside of lip where toungue touches....).
I was told by a dermatology consultant that it can and does work on lips, and that she's used it to treat several dozen children. I've also used it on my own lips and seen re-pigmentation.

No. It cannot be applied, per Dermatologists.
