Hi everyone having spoken to a few people on here I was wondering if anyone had any positive reviews of UvB light therapy? Im lookin to buy a light machine from http://www.solarcsystems.com/us_main.html
Ive heard that as soon as you come off this the lack of pigment begins again.
I was thinking of using this treatment for a few years until there are other treatments? Anyone got any advice or stories? I dont want to spend alot of money on something that really isnt going to work. But if it works and isnt too dangerous please let me know my Protopic really isnt helping so im looking for anything.
Thank yoou everybody in advance for your time. D xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

maybe you can sell it to someone on hear if they wont buy it back. ;-)
thats the thing about the treatments, you gotta keep them up FoREVER.. i'm not that diligent with the stuff i already am suppose to do everyday.
Hello, I have been in NB UVB treatment for the past 6 months (3 xs per week) at my hospital. I have vitiligo all over and mostly on my face and hands. Treatments were going very well and new repigment was appearing everywhere like magic. About a month ago, I started loosing the new color on my face and feet, my hands have been red in color for several months now. After much discussion with my dermatologist, I decided to give my body a break and stopped the treatment. I continue to loose color on my face and my feet went right back to me and vitiligo!!! Strangely; my arms and legs are showing improvements and seem to be blending nicely - and I haven’t even been in treatment for 3 weeks and don’t plan to go back.
I mean it works, I think the key is consistency because when the burn starts (turns black) its damaged and that should not have happen but like others have said, that area of the skin that was burnt rejects all treatment after that - I mean that’s what happen to me. Glad I gave it a try – now I know. Good Luck.
Many latest researches show that NB UVB is one of the best and giving treatment at this time, some looses the pigment they gained when they stop treating by uvb .I think a kind of recovery treatment is important and advised to stop gradually.
Here you have a interesting video showing how uvb works under skin

Here you have a published papers from different researchers about UVB ..read the ones under vitiligo on the bottom of page. At the same time see the new price of different units.

Follow the instruction very well and talk to your derm before you bye the unit.
Good luck!
