I am aware that lots of people are embaressed or feel ashamed of their vitiligo. I look at it thats its not me who has problem because my vitiligo doesnt affect me, its the people who look that have the problem. I am open to discussion on this. How many people here at vitiligo friends has the same opinion as me and who doesnt?

I do understand where you are coming from, especially since vitiligo is a cosmetic problem, it doesn't cause us any health problems (well except maybe depression). I have mixed feelings over my Vitiligo, honestly i believe that it's saved me from being a horrible self centered person. I look back at my childhood before Vitiligo, and i realize that maybe i was given Vit to ground me. I was developing into a monster even at the early age of 9. But i often have negative feelings over it too. Because of it, i've held myself back from things i've wanted to do, i understand it's all mentally since physically nothing holds me back... but it's human nature to want to belong to society, no matter how shallow it is.
