My Son was first diagnosed with Vit. around 1 1/2 years back and since than it is spreading medicines, food control none have been able to contain it. Please Please Please help me in what i can i do my best to get his Vit. Treated. He is only 9 now and i am extremely worried about him. Being a father i feel helpless when i see his Vit. not getting well.
What i have understood from my resaerch is that Vit. takes time to get treated but at the first stage it should stop spreading and thats not happening with my son. Medicines, Homeopathy have not worked. He is now under a dermo. who says if the current medicines doesnt work we will give hiiger doses of it and than may be UV. I am toataaly in mess type of condition totally confused and heart broken for not knowing what to do for my son. PLzzzzzzz help me.

Bikash, we empathize with you. Glad you have tried homeopathy etc, and got it out of the way, otherwise it would always be that one thing that might have worked. It didn't work for me either. Please know that UV-B works quite well. It will stop and then repigment the patches. For places without hair, you may consider laser treatment followed by UV for strengthening the pigment. Get your son to a good doctor who has treated many cases and is a specialist for vitiligo.
Hi Bikash, I am very sorry abt ur condition, I am able understand ur pain, but plss, especially in children in their growing stage the vit also spreads itseems. But plss dont give up. i always know that doctors generally give steroids initially to stop spreading, try to expose him to sunlight in very early hours around 7- 7.30 am. Please follow the food control cautiously, avoid him citrus fruits and fish, other than that provide him with all other healthy food. I have been using UV- B its giving good results on some patches, plss take advice from a competitive doctor who hav good experience in treating vit patients.
