With Less Sun comes Less Vitamin D.
During the winter months doctors recommend taking vitamin d3.
"New research shows that many people in northern latitudes are deficient in Vitamin D, because sunlight is insufficient during the winters to stimulate the production of vitamin D in skin. These deficiencies have been linked to higher rates of certain cancers, osteoporosis, high blood pressure, diabetes, autoimmune conditions, skin diseases, and mood disorders."

It is correct , Important to follow D level ...I live in norway when I took blood test the I was only vitamin D3 deficence ,I wonder if it has link with vitiligo now I m taking fish oil and D tablet I didn`t see any improvment but this time my vit is stable.
They say vitamin D is actually a hormone it can be activated with a small amount of sun shine10-15 mnute aday for some monthes can be enough.

waht is u experience since u ar using this?
fred
Hi Fred
Protopic is safe even for children it has been tested , I understand your worrie about cancer but it is just exaggerated … all other treatments has side effect too ..I am using it for 4 months so far no change feel only burning feeling when I drink alcohol ..but it goes over, you have to be patience and try it for several monthes 4- 6 , I will continue for a couple of monthes , I have a plan to start UVB to may be combined it with Protopic.
Good luck

thanks Bamsegutt
,since 2002 many studies
has shown that the efficacy of protopic use alone is less than combined with uvb.
i encourage you to start coz u are already in.
i gonna also start it by the end of this month coz i should meet the ophtamologist first.
good luck!
