Nice to meet everyone! My name is Amanda and I’m new here. I’m 24, I’ll be 25 this month. I’m from Michigan and I just graduated with a degree in elementary education and English. I discovered my Vit when I was 21. It started on my left hand and began to spread. Now 50% of my arms are white, as well as a large area around my eyes. I even have a heart shaped Vit spot. I’ll have to upload pictures. My boyfriend also has Vitiligo, but he hardly has any spots. The weird thing is we both developed it around the same time. However, the doctors say it isn’t any kind of fungal infection, but in fact Vitiligo. However, they’ve never run any tests. I’m excited to be here and get some kind of support from a community. I get really depressed in July. I’m always at the beach wearing SPF infinityandbeyond and covering myself up. I hate it, I just want to lay in the sun and get a nice tan. Anyways, I’m glad to meet everyone.
