I SEE WHAT YOU ARE THINKING!!!

I SEE what you are thinking

and I know what you want to say,

You want to ask, what’s up with the colors of your skin

and will they go away?

WHAT disease is that you have,

and will I get it too if I’m in your presence

or If I stand too close to you?

Were you burned in a fire?

God Bless you! YOU survived!

and then you’re thinking how sad, but yet happy I made it out alive

all sorts of special questions you most certainly will want to be askin

Oh!  My favorite, …..“Is what you have the same as Michael Jackson ?”

Vitligo is what I have for all of you who stop and gaze

Skin condition, losing my pigment, no disease, nor contagious

so don’t be afraid.

I am just like you, we ARE all trying to live a normal type of life

Experiencing things some good, some bad with great effort not to view

my vitiligo as a vice

But I am loving my life and I’m THINKING that it is just the way it should be

However, it would be a lot more comfortable if you wouldn’t stop and stare at me!
