Some other people with vitiligo often ask me how can I be upbeat and positive about my vitiligo and I ask them what am I supposed to do stay in my house like a hermit and not go out and enjoy life. I have two friends here on (Vitiligo Friends) website and facebook and they are two of the sexiest women I ever saw in my life and they don't let Vitiligo stop them from being sexy and beautiful because vitiligo does not take from your beauty and sexiness I'm so glad that Ciney B and Que are two of the sexiest women that I have ever known and when I see them I don't see any Vitiligo I see their beauty which is inside and out, I wish more people could be like them and stop hiding behind their vitiligo I know some people are so scared that they don't even make a profile picture and that's quite understandable be cause they may not feel comfortable enough to do that yet, But life is short and when we all pass on our bodies stay here on Earth the Vitiligo and all, but our spirits are all that matter because the bible says flesh and bood can't enter the kingdom of heaven. So as a Christian I know that one day I will be with my lord and saviour and I won't have any more tears, no more pain and most of all no more Vitiligo God is Good and he took away all my emotional pain from vitiligo and if you believe in God he can take your pain away too if you just pray and in the words of the late Dr. Martin Luther King "Free at last, Free at last Thank God all mighty I'm free at last, Thanks to the power of God I can walk down the street and it won't bother me if people stop look and stare at me because I know I'm a child of God and nothing anybody can say will Not break my spirit and Thank you God for easing my emotional and physcological pain from my Vitiligo !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Carl, I agree with you 1000%. LIFE IS BIGGER THEN VITILIGO!
Ex: Ail washed the make-up off her hands and the woman was more amazed at her hair.
Ex: Alex knows that it's ALL ABOUT ATTITUDE and that plays a super huge part of it.
Ex: Que, That sista is my EMPOWERMENT TWIN...imagine us in a room together...that’s a double dose of energy..lol
I telling you the truth, God can work it out and He makes no mistakes, but it starts with your attitude.
You guys are wonderful, but Im telling you. Some of the attitudes on here are depressing and just sad. Hold your heads up people and stop letting others steal your joy. YOUR BEAUTIFUL. Did you hear me YOUR BEAUTIFUL and your attitude reflects how you feel and what other will project back.
No one is perfect, not even that ignorant person looking at you. Sing a happy song in your head, smile and nod, and keep it moving. Don’t give people power over you.

I am ashamed to say that a few years ago, I spent the better part of two hours trying to apply makeup to my hands before a job interview. I finally said the hell with it, scrubbed my hands clean, and went in as myself. The woman interviewing me spent 10 minutes talking about how she loved my hair! Goes to show you that your vitiligo is only as big a part of your being as you allow it to be.
