Hw best to use Protopic?

HI can anyone of you give me soem advice on this? My Doctor (via a call with my Dermatologist) has now prescibed me protopic but has told me to only put it on at night before bed (i.e. once a day) and then in the morning to wear total sun block (SPF 50!). Does that soudn right? I thought we needed sunlight to help? I am also using UVBNarrowband everyother day.

Ho do otehr people use Protopic with UVB and what was recommended to them?

thanks in advance

  • i think doctors have recommended about 15-30mins of sunlight per day.  we need the VitD. supplements are recommended also. i think the fear is more the possible damage to unpigmented skin.

    my guess work.

  • I am using Protopic 2 times per day morning then night. I think the box says not to use UVB when on Protopic but I am not currently uses UVB so don't know what others do.I think people here try and get some sun with Protopic. I also try and get some sun light each day, Good luck!
    • ok thanks. I think I may test the UVB on one of the hardier areas ie hands and feet and see if I burn before I go on as normal. Cheers
