Homeopathy medicine for Vitiligo!!!

Hi All, wanted to share a good news with u all..I joined the vitiligo friends very recently and found so good friends and ur experiences gave me the strength to accept vitiligo. Now I want to share some happiness with u all. I am from India.I ahve vitiligo for nearly 10 years and till date I ahve been trying on many treatments .where I have been given many medicines.Recently i started with the Homeopathic treatment and looks like its working.. But more than the medicines i guess our diet has to controlled. My doctor suggested me to completely avoid food with sour taste.Being an Indian we add tamarind paste to may of our dishes. I have completely avoided tamarind intake.also we should avaoid lime nad tomato as they are bleaching agents and help to reduce the melanin content. Moreover i stopped eating all vegetables and fruits which are acidic in nature. ( any fruit orvegetable when u cut and keep if it changes its colour ,then its acidic). So I have stopped eating apples, potato, brinjal.U can have very less fish and chicken but avoid red meat, crabs, prawns etc etc My daily diet consists of mainly carrots, spinach, and I have a lot of chickpeas(black) Reduce the milk intake and avoid cottage cheese completely.Instead of curd u can use butter milk, Have plenty of ginger, garlic and less of spicy food.we Indiands are used to so much spicy food.. Now i have reduced my food from restaurants and try mostly to have from home itself.. Most important is SUNLIGHT!! I expose to sunlight for nearly 15-20 minutes perday.Me myself has become tanned but happy that I can find a rduction in my vitiligo mark.. Pls try it out.. God bless all!!!!!

  • Hi, we are trying chinese herbs and some of the diet...as in what not to have... and our Accupuncturist/herbalist is strongly agnst. milk and milk products ie. cheese and things as this... Pete's vit. looked less in the summer...even though it was much more noticable...because the sunlite enhances the pigment spots with in the vit. areas....we are now looking for the porper lights to purchase....we went nuts with the uvb lite...because i was told by 2 dr. and the actual company that you do need a prescription to purchase this...The apptments at the drs. office was a copayment and for the most part would be 2 -3 days a week for 3 to 15 minutes...what a ripoff !!!!!! Please keep us in the loop with any and alll successes with lightband and or diet/// or tinctures ....Thanks so much..Gene
  • Just wondering - People get Vitamin D from the Sun right! What if we use Vitamin D pills (available in gummy too) , should't this be a plus to help heal Vitiligo? Just a question because they say that the sun helps with vitiligo.
    Any thoughts!!!!!!
    • Yeah, I'm taking vit D (prescribed by my doc) and some study have suggested that there might be a link between vitiligo and low vit D level in the body. However, first you have to do a blood test to check ur vit D level.
  • Hi, Do you rub a cream on you before you expose yourself to the sun?
    • Hi Leslie,

The doctor has given me a homeopathic drops which i have to mix with glycerin andapply for 20 minutes daily..I apply the medicine and expose myself to sunlight...some times even without applying it i expose to sunlight
  • can u please post a before and an after pic?
    • Hi Sarah..I dont have a before pic..whenever i pose for a pic..i cover up my mark with a pencil..even now i do the same..i find out the main difference as previously after covering the grey hairs of my eyebrows there was a small coin size mark on my skin.now after covering the grey hairs i feel the size of the mark has reduced..
but at the same time the grey hair coverage of my eyebrows has increased..this is something i am worried about.
Can anyone suggest me some way how to reduce the spreading of the spots?
      thanks Remya
      • Thanks and good luck!!! U can try the recommended vitamin supplements, who knows? the combination may work best for you...
