    I had it done. I am very happy with it. It has lasted so far over 1 year.

    Hi friend, 

    I wanted to share my feelings on this topic.  I do have vitiligo patches on both my upper lip and lower lip apart from other areas.  Though they are small sized patches, they are noticed easily by others and whenever others initiate a dialog or talk with me, instead of making an eye contact they start to stare at my lips for a long time observing so keenly and it makes me hurt so deeply that I feel as if I am being humiliated by the way they are looking at me.  Desperately I consulted my dermatologist, an expert cosmetologist, who told me that tattooing wont stay for a long time, especially on the lips because it is a mucous membrane and is almost transparent and after doing tattooing on the lips, they will appear pinkish than the rest of the areas of lips.  Just consult one good expert dermatologist who is specialized in cosmetic surgeries regarding the tattooing before you decide on going for it.  It was reiterated to me that doing tattooing on one area will stimulate or flare up vitiligo in some other parts of the body unless and until the vitiligo is stabilized, not spreading and no new patches are developing for at least 1 year to go for tattooing.  

    I just want to convey my feelings and tell all the friends that we are all one family and we should keep on sharing support and information to each other.

    Hi Sukrutha, Hope you are doing good.

    Have u done the tatooing of the lips , I am also in the similar condition, i recently spotted pinkish lips, you can see on my profile.I am looking to get treated my lips as soon as possible ,

    Could you please let me know , what was ur findings , i am fairly new to this Vit and dont know much about it.

    Hi Sukrutha

    Micropigmentation is medication tatto it is presented as alternative treatment for stable vitiligo, micropigmentation on lip is very usual in europe many white womens used it on lip so that they don`t need to use lipstik often.

    I met a copule of vities who has done it on vitiligo lip  succssfully. I think there are many proffesionals in india too google or talk to known vitiligo treatment centers they will lead you to those who has exprience.

      hi bamsegutt, thank you so much for the information, my doubts are cleared to some extent. Now I have to find out whether my dermatoligist can do this process successfully or not.
