Hey guys. new member here with question

my names frank and hopefully someone could help me out with my issue.. i had some bumps on my penis area and my doctor prescribed me aldara. He wasn't really sure i had warts and now i regret even going to this extreme. so i applied the cream and when my penis rested on my scrotum the cream transferred there a bit. the way aldara works, is it makes the immune system attack the skkin. killing a wart etc. so al the bumps cleared up . but it did take away the pigmentation. and it REALLY did on the scrotum. so not knowing what it is called but i more or less gave myself vitiligo. my doctor gave me elidel cream and i took folic acid and went tanning all the spots fully came back perfectly EXCEPT on the scrotum there are sections that came back way TOO much :-( it looks like a have dark birthmarks now. i imagine it simply went from hypo-pigmentation. to hyper pigmentation? the skin around it tho is perfectly colored thankfully and not crazy white like initially.

So my question is, has anyone successfully reversed a hyper pigmentation? i do not have insurance with my new job and would love to home remedy this. ( i know most will say go see a derm but i cant at moment and would love any help)  i still have the elidel. and even thought of some diluted lemon juice? if anyone knows of a cream that be amazing. i feel very self conscious and would love to remedy this thanks guys. and if anyone knows exactly what happened that be great but mainly just want to fade it o the normal color and not make it too white so it looks bleached etc. thanks!

  • Tanning led to repigmentation easily since you do not have vitiligo.

Hyperpigmentation caused during the tanning by over-challenging melanocytes in white areas (especially by the ones close to the edges).

If the area is repigmented, hyperpigmentation should return normal after some time...

  • Not sure. It doesn't sound like Vitiligo. Hopefully time will be on your side. If it is white with no pigment...then its Vitiligo. No cure. It does start out in your private areas sometimes. Good luck.
  • or if anyone can let me know what method that used to reduce hyperpigmentation?
