found this website through youtube, glad to be a member, im pretty sure ill be posting on the forums soon enough, anyways, ive got vit on my right eye like an eye patch, my hands, and 2 spots on the under side of each wrist, im pretty pale but this summer was pretty depressing, the first time its ever really bothered me, first time i found out i had it i was driving back from hunting and my dad noticed he asked me if i got a black eye or something, of course i said noooo?, and then he said i had a white spot around my eye, i went home and typed in white spot on skin in google and there it was......background info, i have manic depressive/anxiety panic disorder, ASWELL as aspergers(which never really affects me, im just a normal person who goes psycho on his hobbies, gotta be the best) but needless to say, this impacted me greatly, my girlfriend says it dosent bother her but i catch her not looking at my face, she says its because she cant make eye contact with people alot it bothers her, but sometimes it makes me wonder ya know....she says she thinks its cute, which helps, but im sure alot of you know how that goes. well anyways, im here! funny picture in the attachments for a laugh, i know we probably all like laughs.
welcome mitch... be at peace with your appearance. since you already have other emotional disorders, u know that stressing out about anything u have no control over isnt good for you. i think that stress causes Vit to spread faster... it's like fuel on a fire. there are other things that do it also, but i think a lot of us on here can think back to a traumatic moment and the noticed more spread. happened to me a little over a month ago... trying to control my anxiety... good luck to you.
i recommend reading alot of the past discussion to see how others have transpired in their adjustment to being one of the chosen people (hahaha)
welcome again.

thanks marty and josephine, i have also heard about the stress causing vit to spread, so far, i cant attest to that, i recently went through the most stressful period of my life (so far obviously) and i didnt notice any spreading, infact i got a little blotch of pigment back during that period, strange i know. i have actually found that the thing that triggers my vit is blunt force trauma to an area, i work alot in the woods, my hobby is survival, (camo skin is awesome, not really but i like to imagine), i use alot of hard working tools and the bottoms of my hands show imprints from use of my tools. especially my right hand that i use for chopping down trees with my knife. the handle is imprinted in my palm, kinda cool i think. also i got a cut on my wrist and a spot formed right around the ridges, and then faded out to a round spot, and good luck to you marty!, and everybody here, hopefully one day a biologist will figure it all out, but then we will have a hard decision to make, keep our natural selves, or fold and get it fixed(changed, fixed is kinda negative, but you know what i mean) also i know its off topic but if anybody on here has any woodsy type questions about anything from fishing-hunting-hiking-camping ask away i work as a free lance journalist for a few tactical blogs and outdoors mags.
