Hi Everyone!
My name is Cameron Longo, and I live currently, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
I am a pretty sociable person, and love to interact with people. I have had vitiligo since my mid 20's but it wasn't until I hit 27 that it started to get a bit bigger on my hands....since then, it has gotten worse, and considering I have a dark complexion to begin with (it's much more noticeable).
I found out my dad has it, two of my cousins have it. My dad's auntie had it (she passed away earlied this year at age 73) and she said when she was younger it bothered her, but as she got older, she didn't let it bother her. And she had it bad...her hands, arms, elbows, legs etc.
I used cover fx to cover my spots on my hands...and even though the cover up does fade as the day goes by, I can either reapply, or just let it go with it faded....I know people stare...but as long as I have some cover up on it, I can lead a "semi" normal life, going shopping, or heading outside. Sometimes it overwhelms me, but all my family and friends love and care for me, regardless of my vitiligo. I explain to countless people and most of them are nice abt it....and I just say, it is what Michael Jackson, the singer had....
It's just harder to find love, when you have this. Maybe I should find someone that has what I have, as they will understand. I just keep on looking for my soulmate!
Thanks for listening!
Cameron
